“Stress is unmet expectations.”
Coaching can help you:
Become more aware of your values, strengths and goals
Learn about the most effective ways to reach your goals
Develop a vision with buy-in from stakeholders
Achieve superior levels of performance for yourself and your team
Develop greater positivity, wellbeing and balance in work and life
Fit is extremely important. You need to feel comfortable with your coach and you should be able to articulate what you are looking for in a coach. I explore several topics with my clients before beginning a coaching engagement. These include: changes you want to make, and/or the areas you want to work on in coaching, the “why” behind these changes, time available for meetings and development activities, and the priority you will give the coaching process and activities. Most importantly, the client and I determine the success measures of our time together.
Assessments are often used to help shed light on your values, leadership strengths, preferred styles, resources and ideal future vision. Have you ever had an assessment done and then never received any coaching on the results? Let’s fix that! Assessments that I work with include but are not limited to:
The Enneagram Personality Indicator
Emotional Intelligence Assessments
Strengthsfinder
Myers Briggs Type Indicator
Leadership Practices Inventory
Every coaching engagement is bespoke and confidential. There are many reasons why an individual may be seeking coaching. My coaching philosophy is based on the following key values:
Connection
Trust
Respect
Alignment
Results
I partner with providers of other services who share these values. Whether you are working with me or if I refer you to one of my partners, you can trust that you will be getting what is best suited to your needs.
I believe that we cannot change what we cannot see. I believe that self-knowledge and empathy are essential to personal growth and to bridging the gaps in relationships. I believe that the real power of coaching occurs when the coach assists the client to slow thinking down in order for the client to be more present and explore ideas outside what they originally conceived to be possible. My style of coaching is anchored in these beliefs.
You can expect me to be a strategic thinking partner and accountability partner. I can help assess where you are now and how to best maximize your potential in future endeavours. I will listen to you, ask you powerful questions, and provide encouragement as you begin to identify patterns that hold you back. I am committed to helping my clients discover alternatives and find solutions outside of normal approaches. Remember - working with a coach is not like talking with a friend. You should leave every session with something unique and valuable - and an action plan to move forward.
